With over 10 years of practice, Ms. Li’s experience spans from a full spectrum of immigration law to general business law practice.
Ms. Li counsels U.S. employers to ensure their compliance with federal laws governing immigration. She represents foreign investors in securing permanent residence based on the EB-5 program, including both Regional Centers and direct investment. She advises businesses on legal structures of setting up EB5 financing method. Ms. Li partners with clients to ensure that both employers and employees understand the complex, often uncertain U.S. immigration regime. She represents a wide range of U.S. employers in all types of employment based nonimmigrant and immigrant (and family based immigrant) visa matters before the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Labor.
Ms. Li has also gained substantial experience in advising clients on business formation (for-profit and non-profit) strategies, including choice of entity; business’ legal planning and development, corporate conversions, reorganizations, partnership agreements, operating agreements, buy-sell agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and corporate governance.
