Chris Ricotta sees his practice as an opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the lives of others. As an attorney for FGI, he believes that “employment immigration law enables me to bring economic opportunities to our corporate clients and their U.S. business partners, to achieve positive outcomes for their beneficiaries and families.” His commitment to immigration law goes back to his days as a law student where he served on the Michigan State University Immigration Clinic and as a Managing Editor on the MSU Law Review. He invokes President John F. Kennedy’s famous quote to sum up his own personal philosophy: “everywhere immigrants have enriched and strengthened the fabric of American life.”
At FGI, Chris focuses on L-1A (manager/executive) and L-1B (specialized knowledge) intracompany transfer visas primarily for the IT industry. He brings to FGI an impressive academic background with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a J.D. degree, all from Michigan State University. He has been admitted to the State Bar of Michigan.
In his personal life, Chris is a huge music fan: “Music is a big part of my life – I’ve been playing piano since I was a child and have picked up other instruments along the way.” He also enjoys traveling and has visited Mexico and Canada.
