Zachary Trosch’s family history deeply influenced his decision to become an immigration lawyer and informs his practice to this day. His grandfather came to this country with a second-grade education and not much more than the clothes on his back, and he became a successful family man who has lived to see his children obtain college educations. Zachary practices as an immigration lawyer for that very reason: to give others the opportunities to succeed that his grandfather and so many like him have enjoyed.
At FGI, Zachary works with clients in the business consulting and IT sectors and brings to FGI his expertise in EB-1A and EB-2 National Interest Waiver [NIW] immigration-based visas. He has established a reputation for analyzing significant quantities of documents and synthesizing them into succinct and persuasive legal narratives. “My attention to detail and ability to drive to the heart of the matter has served me well in the drafting of support letters,” he says, “and I look forward to utilizing these skills on behalf of our clients.”
Zachary earned his Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, and his J.D. from the University of Michigan School of Law. In addition to his immigration law practice, Zachary also works as a freelance web content and blog writer and has contributed web content on several law firms’ and other companies’ websites. He enjoys traveling (including England, France, the Netherlands, Mexico, Canada, Israel, and Japan) and spending time with his wife and daughter. Asked to summarize the philosophy that guides his practice, Zachary replied, “Knowledge is power – I get a lot of satisfaction from arming my clients with an understanding about how immigration law works and the reasons for the decisions I make while working on their cases.”
