Profile

Catherine Nasr’s commitment to immigration law stems from her personal history. As the child of Egyptian immigrants, she grew up believing in the American Dream and the possibilities it offered to her. “I believe every person who wants to achieve their passions should be afforded the same opportunity.”

At FGI, Catherine works with our engineering and information technology (IT) clients on nonimmigrant petitions including H-1Bs, L-1As, L-1Bs, and TNs as well as immigrant matters including PERM, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 and Adjustments of Status applications. She has provided services to clients in the Automotive, IT/Technology, Engineering, Staffing, and Legal industries. She brings a client-centered focus to her practice. Catherine consistently keeps apprised of any changes in laws, regulations, as well as adjudication trends, ensuring to pass along pertinent information to all clients to improve processes and outcomes.

A graduate of Wayne State University, with a B.A. in Romance Languages (Spanish) and a J.D., Catherine is a member of the State of Michigan Bar and enjoys reading, traveling, and especially the Detroit Pistons. Her personal philosophy of immigration law can be summed up by a quote from President Woodrow Wilson, “we came to America, either ourselves or in the persons of our ancestors, to better the ideals of men, to make them see finer things that they had seen before, to get rid of the things that divide and to make sure of the things that unite.”
