Immigration Associate needed in Troy, MI to perform the following responsibilities under supervision of senior attorney: prepare and file non-immigrant petitions including but not limited to H-1B, L-1, TN, E-3, and O-1, prepare and file PERM applications, I-140 petitions, and adjustment of status applications, prepare and draft responses to Request for Further Evidence (RFE) and Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID), research, analyze, and respond to complex legal questions, study relevant rules, regulations, and case law to stay abreast of important changes to the US government policies and regulations related to employment based immigration and advise clients accordingly, conduct legal research, draft legal memoranda. Must have a Juris Doctor Degree plus two (2) years of employment-based immigration experience. One (1) year of the two (2) years of employment- based immigration experience must include experience with the following: (1) working with an off shore legal delivery model; (2) handling high volume and fast paced work; (3) applying business law concepts addressing issues related to contracts, financial documents, mergers, and acquisition; (4) drafting H-1B petitions and responding to RFEs; (5) assisting clients with filing of immigrant applications. Must be licensed to practice law in the United States. All experience may be acquired concurrently.
