The United Kingdom launched a new system called “Access UK” to facilitate the application process of visitor visas to the UK. The new system is available in other languages, will allow the applicant to book the biometric appointment online, and pay for the government processing fee in either standard, priority, or super priority service, all in a more concise form.
Access UK has already been successfully introduced in other countries such as China, India, Philippines, South Africa, Thailand, and Turkey. It is expected to be running worldwide by the end of summer. The simplified portal is accessible for applications of standard visitor visas, visitor (marriage and civil partnership), and visitor (permitted paid engagement) visas. The portal can also be used to apply for visitor visa extensions.
